What type of doctor is Dr. Anguiano?

She is trained as a pediatrician, is board certified, and through the years has been specializing in behavioral health and the treatment of mental health disorders.

What is behavioral health?

Behavioral health is the medical practice of taking care of patient’s mental health care. Behavioral conditions are impacted by habits as well as external or social factors. These further influence overall mental and physical well-being. Some behavioral health disorder examples include eating, attention, and autism spectrum disorders.

What is Dr. Anguiano's philosophy on medication?

Medication serves its purpose, and some patients will benefit from its positive effects for years, but Dr. Anguiano strives to minimize polypharmacy and promises to routinely consider the ability to safely wean off medications.

What is the purpose of therapy?

Psychotherapists are critical to help clients resolve past problems, develop skills that may be delayed or deficient, manage emotions or mental health illnesses, and improve overall function at home, school, and play. *Although psychotherapy services are not provided by Dr. Anguiano, it is highly recommended these services be obtained as it has been shown to yield the best results when coupled with medication management.

What is coaching?

It involves a partnership between the coach and the client to identify areas of improvement and create an action plan to achieve them. Coaching is focused on the present and future, and it empowers the client to take responsibility for their own growth and development.

What is the purpose of parent coaching?

We all know that parenting is difficult, and every child is unique with the potential for a multitude of possible challenges. Parent coaching aims to support parents in developing effective parenting strategies, improving communication with their children, and promoting positive behavioral changes in their children.

What is iPEC?

iPEC is the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. iPEC coach training is a comprehensive program that prepares individuals to become certified coaches. The program is based on the COR.E Energy Coaching™ process, which focuses on helping clients tap into their inner resources and achieve sustainable change. The iPEC coach training program emphasizes a holistic approach to coaching, which includes addressing the client's physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Coaching can benefit anyone who is looking to reach their full potential, including individuals, couples, and families. How do I schedule an appointment?

Once enrolled for the service you will have access to schedule yourself online for your convenience. We can also schedule your next appointment at the end of a visit.

How do I reschedule an appointment?

An appointment can be rescheduled online.

What is the cancellation policy?

It is understandable that emergencies do happen, and conflicts may arise. A notification of at least 24 hours before the scheduled visit, would be appreciated to open the opportunity for someone else.

What if I miss my appointment?

If an appointment is not canceled at least 24 hours before a scheduled visit, a refund may not be possible.

Billing Questions

Are the services eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement?

It is best to check with your employer’s human resources department to see if the use of your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Savings Account (FSA) can be used for your initial visit, subscription, or A La Carte services.

What does the subscription service cover?

The subscription service covers medication management follow-up appointments as well as unlimited direct text and email support.

What if I decide to cancel my subscription service?

This is a collaboration service and if you are dissatisfied with the service, or if a higher level of care is needed the monthly subscription service can be canceled. Termination of monthly payments will be in effect after notification and further charges will cease.

When do charges occur?

For subscription services, charges will occur on the 1st of the month. For A La Carte services, charges will be added when scheduled and applied according to your preferred method of payment.

Are my subscription service fees tax deductible?

No, they are not but can be discussed with your tax consultant.

Is insurance accepted?

No, insurance is not accepted fortunately which is the main reason that allows for the direct doctor-patient relationship without the middleman dictating what or how services are covered.
