The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 1 in 5 children have a mental, emotional, or behavioral disorder. Of these impacted children only 1 in 5 may receive care from a specialized mental health care provider. Minority and uninsured children are even less likely to obtain services.

Mental health refers to one’s emotional, social, to psychological well-being. Mental health care consists of the management and treatment of anxiety, depression, and so many others.
